Several extraordinary phenomena happen within the subject of music harmony; one of these relates to an acoustical aspect of harmony-perception that forces us to perceive a particular chromatic position as a sort of 'point of view' from which point the mood-quality of any present Harmonic Form is to be perceived. This is most often, though not always, the present bass-note; such a phenomenon is further addressed with the Tonentity Theory, which was also developed by our research team.

Hold or repeat the corresponding colored-note as a bass-note with your left hand while perusing the higher-pitched white keys with your right hand: You are playing in the key of C; meanwhile, the bass note becomes the point of view and inherits the active 'modality' which has a mood in terms of sound; although in this theory, the mood seems to match the color.



The Main Diatonic Modes


Main Red : The Lydian Mode


The Main Red Mode

Main Red conveys optimism and undauntedness like the point of view of one just beginning something, and it is often found in Movie Intros.



Main Orange : The Ionian Mode


The Main Orange Mode

Main Orange [the Major Scale] provides a happy feeling and happy song. Often a song with a Major-Chord's Tonality is not actually in this Mode.



Main Yellow : The Mixolydian Mode


The Main Yellow Mode

Main Yellow is strong like a bright sun. In Traditional Jazz, moments of improvisation try to reach this mode to enrich all of the bass notes.



Main Green : The Dorian Mode


The Main Green Mode

Main Green carries intrigue, conveying intensity along with calm. It is used in various ways in most styles of music, and it could be considered as the central mode of the Modary.



Main Blue : The Aeolian Mode


The Main Blue Mode

Main Blue (the Natural Minor Scale), provides the means for making serious or melancholy songs. Harmonic Minor is common in classical music. Melodic Minor is important to Jazz. Such a multitude of scale-types prompted for this research that has found these to each reside in separate spectrums.



Main Indigo : The Phrygian Mode


The Main Indigo Mode

Main Indigo sounds a bit fearful, as if foreshadowing the spectrum's own end, and it is often found in action thrillers and heavy-metal tunes.



Main Violet : The Locrian Mode


The Main Violet Mode

Main Violet, unlike the other six diatonic modes, has no perfect 5th and thereby lacks the status of being a 'Melodic Mode'. This mode contains the Diminished Chord for the Main Spectrum, meanwhile we notice that this whole Spectrum has no Augmented Chord in it at all. So this mode provides a segue toward the possibility that the other scales that are important to traditional and modern harmony theory should also be members of Spectrums. This notion led to the development of this system for exploring musical harmony.
